Prevent the mistreatment of people who are detained. Call on the Irish Government to ratify OPCAT.

OPCAT (Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture) is an international human rights treaty which assists States in preventing torture and other forms of ill-treatment in all places of detention.

Ireland signed OPCAT in October 2007. It is time to ratify it.
