A number of Irish civil society organisations are travelling to Geneva this week for Ireland’s second periodic review under UNCAT.
In their submissions to the committee prior to the hearing, several organisations have called for the State to answer questions on their timelines and plans for ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture (OPCAT).
